Basics of the Sales Script

Sales Script:

Select:

  • Car is already with you
  • Car not with you as yet

Always smile: (Your voice sounds friendly)

"So that I may help you best,
would you mind if I asked you some questions?"

On approval, ask open ended questions that start with What, How, When etc.
Questions that lead to ‘Yes’ or ‘ No’ responses will stop the flow of conversation.

"What car do you drive?"

This helps get the question and answers flowing and is a guide to you as to the tyres that you will specify at the end.

"What size tyres do you need?"

Before you make the sales call, enter the tyre size so you are prepared

that [state number] tyres are below
the legal requirement and need replacing”

If the vehicle is capable of off road, ask the following question, but if not (ie. Porsche Macan) select the first button below and continue.

"How often do you go off-road?"

Select:

  • Rarely, primarily road use
  • Enough to warrant 4WD capability
"When you go off-road, what type of terrain?"

Select:

  • Moderate Terrain (e.g Gravel/Sand)
  • Tough Terrain (eg. Rocks/Mud)

Moderate Terrain: Designed for the more frequent off-roader, these are good all-rounders. Capable of tough off-road work, whilst still providing good on-road driving. Generally, slightly less smooth and less wet grip compared to the on-road tyre above.

Tough Terrain: Ideal for serious off-roading. The most capable off-road tyre with tougher side walls and heavier tread construction designed for serious applications. These will have higher noise levels and have less grip on bitumen than tyres in the other categories above.

Find out from the three options below (performance / ride comfort / tread life) what is most important to your customer and enter their preference
